  • TKW Consulting Engineers, Inc. is pleased to announce the promotion of J. Michael (Mike) McGee, P.E., BCEE to Principal Engineer and Environmental/Utilities Engineering Department Manager of the firm. Mike McGee, is a Senior Project Manager at TKW, with more than 25 years of diversified civil engineering experience, whose focus is on water, wastewater, and reclaimed water projects. Considered an expert in horizontal directional drill and other trenchless pipeline construction technologies, Mr. McGee has designed and permitted numerous directional drills of water, reclaimed water, and wastewater transmission pipelines throughout Southwest Florida. Mr. McGee has a Master in Civil Engineering from Auburn University and is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy.

  • TKW Consulting Engineers, Inc. would like to congratulate Mike McGee, P.E., BCEE for qualifying for specialty certification by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in Water Supply and Wastewater. Board Certified Environmental Engineers are licensed professional engineers who have further demonstrated by experience as engineers in responsible charge and by examination and an interview with a panel of peers that they meet the strict requirements for specialty certification as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer. Mike is now one of only 117 Professional Engineers in the State of Florida holding the BCEE qualification in Water Supply and Wastewater.

  • TKW was approved by the Collier County Board of Commissioners for the award of Electrical Reliability and Mechanical Operations Upgrades to the North County Water Reclamation Facility.The project team includes the sub-consultants Hole Montes Associates and RKS Consulting Engineers.

  • Patrick J. Day, P.E., BCEE, has been accepted as a Diplomate of the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and is now accredited as a Board Certified Environmental Engineer in Water and Wastewater.

  • Douglas Eckmann, P.E., BCEE joins TKW Consulting Engineers, Inc. as Chief Operating Officer and Engineering Manager. As well as overseeing the staff of professional engineers, Mr. Eckmann will be responsible for all TKW's day-to-day operations and will provide operational leadership with continuous improvements in the culture of the business, analyzing every process within the organization, and streamlining management procedures.
    Mr. Eckmann has managed significant engineering projects in Southwest Florida since 1993 including several projects that have won National awards. He is a member of many professional organizations and is Board Certified in water and wastewater engineering by the prestigious American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He also holds an MBA and is experienced in economic evaluations.

  • TKW has again been selected for the Structural Engineering Continuing Services Contract for Lee Memorial Health System (LMHS). This 3-year contract will include studies, design, and construction administration services for various projects at healthcare facilities at all campus locations. TKW has held this contract consecutively since 2001.

  • TKW Consulting Engineers, Inc. congratulates James T. Lange, PE, SE, Structural Engineering Manager, for recently earning his Special Inspector (SI) License from the State of Florida Board of Professional Engineers. Mr. Lange has over 35 years of engineering and management experience that has focused on structural design, technical review and project management. His background in analysis and design covers a wide range of industries, structures, and materials. Currently, Mr. Lange is involved in projects with Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), Palm Beach International Airport, and the Lee Memorial Health System.

  • Trudi K. Williams, Founder, Chief Executive Officer of TKW Consulting Engineers, was unanimously approved by the Board of the American Red Cross, Florida's Southern Gulf Region to serve on the Board for a 3-year term beginning fiscal year 2013.

    Ms. Williams' involvement in public office and leadership began in the 1990's, and she has served on numerous boards and advisory committees. In 2004, she was elected to the Florida House of Representatives for District 75, and she won a second term in 2006, after running un-apposed, final third term in 2008, and her fourth and final term in 2010. Her legislative accomplishments include introduction of several bills that have been signed into law, including the preservation of 74,000 acres of pristine land on the Babcock Ranch; legislation concerning the permitting of wetlands; and continuation of a sales tax exemption on solar energy products.

    In addition to her responsibilities as owner and CEO of TKW Consulting Engineers, Ms. Williams has been highly involved with community affairs while serving four consecutive terms as state representative for District 75 from 2004-2012, and continues to remain active in local professional memberships and civic leadership roles.
